Free summertime fun at intu Eldon Square!

This summer intu Eldon Square has a host of free children's activities guaranteed to keep little ones entertained throughout the school holidays.

Every Monday and Tuesday from 7 - 29 August intu Eldon Square's smallest visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of free summer-themed arts and crafts including the chance to decorate ice cream fridge magnets and make sparkling windmills.

There really is something for everyone to enjoy - mini-fashionistas can indulge their creative side as they design their very own beach bag, or channel the boho festival vibe when they create a floral crown.

Nature lovers should pop along to intu Eldon Square on Monday 21 August when they can make a birdhouse to take home for their garden while on 28 August theatrical tots can make wooden spoon and hand puppets. Child sized puppet theatres will also be on hand allowing puppets to make their very first stage appearance, letting little imaginations come to life.

On Tuesdays children can enjoy a sweet treat as they get hands on making candy floss and every Friday free face-painting will be taking place - transforming tiny shoppers into cute animals or adding a touch of sparkle with bejewelled eye designs.

From Monday 7 to Sunday 13 August visitors will also have the chance to try out the latest exciting PLAYMOBIL toys in intu Eldon Square's PLAYMOBIL play zone in St Andrew's Way, near Debenhams.

Summer activities at intu Eldon Square:

All activities take place from 11am - 4pm

Grey’s Quarter (adjacent to Giraffe):

Monday 7 August: Paint pens and sparkly gems at ready to decorate your very own ceramic duckie money box!

Tuesday 8 August: Create your own flower crown with fun summer themed stickers.

Monday 14 August: Get ready for some fun in the sun with your brand new beach bag, designed by you!

Tuesday 15 August: Design a wooden summer themed key ring.

Monday 21 August: Bring your little explorers along to design a bird house which they can take home for the birdies in the garden.

Tuesday 22 August: Craft your own wind mill with gems and stickers.

Monday 28 August: Children can get into character making wooden spoon and hand puppets. With 2 child sized puppet theatres children can get creative as they don the puppet stage with their own imagination and role play some fairy tales.

Tuesday 29 August: Get into the summer spirit and design your very own ice cream fridge magnet.

Every Tuesday:

Candy Floss making: Make sure the kids get into the fun of the party by making their own candy floss!

Every Friday:

Free face painting: From small bejewelled eye designs to fun animal faces, kids can enjoy free face painting every Friday.

Playmobil play zone (near Debenhams) from Monday 7 – Sunday 13 August:

Kids can enjoy a whole host of brilliant Playmobil toys in our Playmobil play zone. The play zone will have Playmobil toys for a variety of ages for our little shoppers to play with during their visit to intu Eldon Square.

Activities are free for all the family and are open to all ages.
